Brenda Warren

Brenda Warren enters her second year as the assistant women’s basketball coach. Warren brings multiple years of experience in education and athletics to Savannah State.

In her previous position, Warren was the head coach for track and field as well as the junior varsity and assistant varsity basketball coach at Russell County High School in Seale, Alabama.

Prior to Russell County High School, Warren was the head women’s basketball coach at Chattahoochee Valley Community College in Phenix City, Alabama.

The Alexandria, Virginia native coached a CVCC team that qualified for the Alabama Community College Conference tournament three times, and had three players sign NCAA Division II scholarships. During the 2006-2008 seasons coach Warren’s team had a 100 percent graduation rate.

Warren earned a Bachelor of Science in health and recreation from Voorhees College in Denmark, South Carolina, graduating Cum Laude. She earned a Master of Science in sports and fitness management from Troy University in Fort Benning, Georgia.

Warren played for current women's basketball head coach Cedric Baker at Voorhees College in South Carolina and was a pivotal part of a late 90’s NAIA championship team.
