Megan Griffith

Megan Griffith was named the head softball coach in February of 2022, becoming the fifth head coach of the program. 
 
Griffith comes to Savannah State from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia where she served as the lead assistant coach. In 2021, the team earned its first winning season since 2014.
 
Prior to George Mason, Griffith coached at the University of California San Diego for two years where she served as an assistant coach and led hitting and pitching instruction.
 
The 2019 UCSD team won the regular season conference championship, and the NCAA Division II Super Regional Championship, earning a trip to the Division II World Series. 
 
Griffith played NCAA Division I softball at Middle Tennessee State (MTSU) where she was an infiedler and academic All-American. She earned her bachelor of science in exercise science from MTSU and a master of sciences in sports management from George Mason University.
