Savannah, GA-Savannah State Athletics sees all of its fall sports teams in action in another full week. Once again, we cover it all in our latest installation of "This Week In Tiger Athletics"

Men's & Women's Golf
The fall portion of the 2025-26 season for SSU golf continues as the Lady Tigers and Tigers head to the Upstate area of South Carolina to take part in the Upstate Intercollegiate, hosted by North Greenville University. The two-round event begins on Monday at the Greer Golf & Country Club in Greer, South Carolina.

Volleyball
After a 4-1 week last week, including a 3-1 showing at the first SIAC Crossover, Head Coach Roselidah Obunaga and the Lady Tiger Volleyball squad open the SIAC East Division portion of their schedule this week. The Lady Tigers first head to Columbia, South Carolina to battle Benedict on Tuesday at 6:00pm.

Then, the team returns home for a matchup against Allen on Thursday at 6:00pm inside Tiger Arena. SSU Athletics is asking for all Tigers to come out to the game as we are attempting to set a new NCAA Division II HBCU Attendance Record. There will also be prizes and other giveaways at the contest. The match will also be broadcast live on the Savannah State Sports Network with student broadcasters Joshua Ryans and AJ Joseph on the call.

Men's & Women's Cross Country
The first of two consecutive trips across the Talmadge Bridge begins this Friday for the Savannah State Men's & Women's Cross Country Team as the will take part in the USCB Duals, hosted by the University of South Carolina Beaufort.

Football
Head Coach Aaron Kelton and the SSU football squad begin a three-game road trip this weekend. The Tigers will head up to Orangeburg, South Carolina to renew an old Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference rivalry with the Bulldogs of South Carolina State for their Homecoming. Kickoff is set for 1:30pm at Oliver C. Dawson Bulldog Stadium, with the contest being broadcasted live on ESPN+.
