Savannah, GA-Lady Tiger Volleyball returns home for two key SIAC East Division matchups, and the football squad preps for a big neutral site football contest on Saturday. We cover everything in our latest installment of "This Week In Tiger Athletics".

Women's Volleyball
Head Coach Roselidah Obunaga and the Savannah State women's volleyball squad have been one of the hottest teams in the SIAC as of late. The Lady Tigers are currently riding a four match winning streak, including a perfect 3-0 showing at the SIAC Crossover in Memphis over the weekend. From here on out however, things get more magnified for the squad as SSU looks to make more noise in the East Division. Savannah State will host two matches inside Tiger Arena this week, starting on Wednesday night, October 15th against Clark Atlanta, then on Friday night, October 17th against Edward Waters. Both matches will start at 6:00pm and will be shown live on the Savannah State Sports Network.

Football
Fresh off of a thrilling overtime road win over Allen this past Saturday, the Savannah State football team turns their attention to Augusta, Georgia to conclude their three-game road trip. The Tigers will battle in-state and conference rival Fort Valley State in the inaugural "Good Trouble Heritage Football Classic" at David Dupree Memorial Stadium on the campus of Lucy Laney High School. Kickoff is slated for 3:00pm and will be shown live on ESPN+. Tickets and tailgating spots are still available at www.goodtroubleclassic.com
