SAVANNAH, Ga.-
Faith Dickerson struck out nine batters to help Savannah State end their 2019 season with a 4-0 win over visiting South Carolina State, in a game played at Lady Tiger Field.
Dickerson pitched seven innings and only allowed three hits while walking two.
South Carolina State had runners in scoring position in the fourth and fifth innings but were unable to score.

Cortni Jones hit a two run single for SSU in the first inning for the early lead.
Jakayla Sullivan and
Kameryn Baker led off the bottom of the fourth with a walk and a single. Sullivan scored on a wild pitch while Baker crossed home plate following a sacrifice fly by
Stacie Smith for a 4-0 lead.
Jones and Baker each had two hits for the Lady Tigers. Jones also drove in two runs.
SSU (9-27, 4-11 MEAC) finished the contest with six hits while leaving seven on base.
Ja'Nau Cohen was the losing pitcher, walking six batters.
South Carolina State ends their season 0-34 overall and 0-15 in conference play.
