THE GAME:
The Lady Tigers play their final nonconference game of the 2013-14 season against Trinity Baptist today.
SSU enters today's game off a 63-46 rout of Maryland Eastern Shore in their Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference opener on Saturday. The Lady Tigers will look to stay undefeated at home, after garnering a 4-0 season record in Tiger Arena.
With their 7th win on Saturday, the Lady Tigers, midway through the season, have as many wins as they earned in all of the 2012-13 campaign. SSU went 7-23 last season. SSU have outscored opponents 319-218 in Tiger Arena in their four home wins this season.
Senior Ezinne Kalu again leads the charge for SSU, but has gained a plethora of scoring help this season. Kalu leads the team with 198 points, 15.2 avg. Jasmine Norman is averaging 8.1 points and leads the team from the charity strip with a 71.9 shooting percent. Jasmine Kirkland, Kenyata Hendrix and Bria Dorsey are all averaging over 7 points per game. Tiyonda Davis leads in rebounds with 104, a 7.4 average.
