SAVANNAH, Ga.- Raven Johnson and Arzine Lee combined to throw a one hitter as South Carolina State defeated Savannah State 11-1 at the Paulson Complex.
Brittany Wilson got the lone hit for Savannah State and broke up the no-hitter in the fifth inning.
SC State scored four runs in the first inning and once in the second and third for a 6-0 lead.
The Bulldogs added five runs in the fourth off three hits and five errors.
Cassie Standard took the loss for SSU (15-19). Standard gave up eight hits and walked four.
Tonya and Sonya Giles had two hits apiece for SCSU (6-28).
