Savannah State University Athletics

John McGlockton (Football) was an all around athlete at the college, and earned varsity letters in football, baseball, and basketball. He matriculated from 1931 – 1935. His greatest contributions to athletics were not as an athlete, but as an alumnus who contributed to athletics in many areas. McGlockton was president of the Savannah State National Alumni Association for over 15 years. He also served for many years as president of the Athletic Association at Savannah State.
