Ida Girvin (Adams) (basketball) – A native of Amsterdam, Georgia, played for the Tigerettes from 1947 – 1951. She played on the 1947 – 1948 team that was Co – SEAC women’s basketball champions and was selected MVP of the SEAC that year. She averaged twelve points per game during her career, and shot more than twenty points in some games.
