Savannah State University Athletics

The Savannah State Tigers will be playing their 25th season of basketball in Tiger Arena in 2025-26. The arena replaced Willcox-Wiley Gymnasium as the team's home. The Tigers played their first game in the $9.6 million facility on November 17, 2000.  The 5,000-plus seat arena, which sits southeast of the brand new Tiger baseball and softball fields on SSU's Savannah, Georgia campus, houses coaches, physical recreation, faculty offices, the sports medicine department, a state-of-the-art sound system for concerts, and professional style locker rooms. The arena is also home to the Savannah State Hall of Fame, as well as the multiple trophies won through the school's 100 years of intercollegiate competition.
