Cameron Pack, set the school record with a time of 10:53.54 Sunday at the UNCG Dual Meet Matches.
The previous best was on Jan. 22, 2010 when Gabriel Davis, Ruben Isreal-McBee, Tyrone McCoy and Etchien Assinzo completed the DMR in a time of 11:00.29 at the ETSU Niswonger Invite.
The men's track team recorded 10 additional top-10 finishes. Sophomore
Nigel Brown won the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.93, while sophomore
Morgan Ellis-Foster won the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.86. Senior
Justin Leggett finished third in the 60-meter dash with a time of 22.48 and finished third in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.99.
Brice finished seventh in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.66, while freshman
Abbas Abbkar finished third in the one-mile run with a time of 4:26.14 and Savannah State's 4x400-meter relay team won the event with a time of 3:22.49. Ellis-Foster led SSU in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.49, followed by freshman
Gabriel Woods finished third with a time of 8.57 and freshman
Isaiah McKisson finished fifth with a time of 8.61.
The men's field team recorded six top-11 finishes with junior
Malik Franklin won the long jump with a distance of 7.31 meters (23-11.75), followed by sophomore
LaRon James second place finish with a jump of 7.30 meters (23-11.5) and junior
Donterious Copeland finished ninth with a jump of 6.34 meters (20-9.75).
Franklin finished second in the triple jump with a distance of 15.10 meters (49-6.5), while Copeland finished fourth with a jump of 14.31 meters (46-11.5) and Konin Assinzo finished 11
th in the shot put with a distance of 11.67 meters (38-3.75).
The women's track team recorded four top-12 finishes with freshman
Jada Morgan's sixth place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.94, followed by freshman
Cayla Williams' 12
th place finish with a time of 26.59. Sophomore Tyneshia Quarterman finished fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 59.02, while freshman
Brenda Johnson finished 11
th in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.52 and Savannah State's 4x400-meter relay team of Quarterman, junior
Miara Elmore, freshman Iycis Hammond, freshman
Danielle Derricho with a time of 4:14.87.
The women's field team recorded four top-12 finishes with junior
Kourtney Sizemore's fifth place finish in the pole vault with a distance of 3.00 meters (9-10), while junior
Ravyn Mike finished eighth in the long jump with a jump of 5.18 meters (17-0). Elmore finished 11
th in the triple jump with a jump of 10.58 meters (34-8.5) and sophomore Faith Spears finished 10
th in the weight throw with a throw of 13.55 meters (44-5.75)

th place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 52.15, followed by junior

th place finish in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.10, while Derricho finished 22
nd in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:04.03, followed by freshman
Calita Wyatt finished 32
nd with a time of 1:08.08 and Elmore finished 17
th in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.86.
Other women's field results include freshman
Bryshea Jackson's 24
th place finish in the long jump with a jump of 4.77 meters (15-7.75) and freshman
Ariel Holmes finished 26
th in the shot put with a distance of 8.74 meters (28-8.25) and a 22
nd place finish in the weight throw with a distance of 7.57 meters (24-10.25). Sophomore
Faith Shears finished 15
th in the shot put with a throw of 10.36 meters (34-0.25).
The men's team won all eight dual meets defeating USC Upstate 67-48, Davidson 69-42, UNC Greensboro 73-34, Florida A&M 72-31, Campbell 59-39, Georgia Southern 79-0, Jacksonville State 79-0 and UT Chattanooga 79-0.
The women's team won two dual meets defeating UT Chattanooga 57-37 and UNC Greensboro 57-35, but feel to Florida A&M 76-30, Davidson 58-44, Campbell 78-30, Georgia Southern 79-35, Jacksonville State 79-37 and USC Upstate 75-37.
The men's and women's track and field teams are back in action Friday in Johnson City, Tenn., for the Buccaneer Track and Field Invitational.
