SAVANNAH, Ga.-
Eric Plump won two events to lead the Savannah State men's track team to a second place finish in the SSU Eyeopner held at T. A. Wright Stadium.
Plump won the 100m with a time of 11.07 and the 200m with a time of 22.12.
The SSU relay teams both had second place finishes.
The 4x100m team made up of
Darrius Baker,
Michael Lee, Plump and Chaz price had a time of 42.38 while the 4x400m team of
Gabriel Davis,
Tyrone McCoy, Plump and Price ended up with a run of 3:29.42.
Also placing second was McCoy in the 800m race and Kendall Moumnm in the high jump. McCoy had a time of 2:00.63 while Moumnm had a jump of 6-0.
McCoy's time of 4:18.49 was good enough for a third place finish in the 1500m race.
Brandon Norman was third in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.61 and Baker finished third in the 100m race with a run of 11.19.
UNC-Pembroke won the men's team event with 111 points. SSU was second with 107 and Albany State finished third with 85.
