PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- The Savannah State men's shuttle hurdle relay team finished 9th at the 115th running of the Penn Relays held at Franklin Field, April 23-25.
Marcus Stallworth,
Brandon Norman,
Aaron Whitaker and
Vernon Williams teams to post a time of 62.24. SSU finished 3rd in their heat.
The men's sprint medley team (Williams, Whitaker,
Eric Plump and Tyron McCoy) was 27th with a time of 3:31.34 and finished 2nd in their heat.
Stallworth was 29th in the 400m hurdles with a time of 54.19 and finsihed 8th in his heat.
The 4x400m relay squad (Williams, Plumo, McCoy and
Joseph Ferguson) had a time of 3:21.07 in their event and was 7th in their heat.
Sheronda Redfield was 18th in the women's triple jump with a leap of 36-11.
Victoria Burch finished 31st in the women's 400m hurdles with a time of 1:03.16 and was 8th in her heat.
The SSU women's 4x400m relay team (
Mekela Martin, Burch,
Amara Jones and
Amber Hughes) was 49th with a time of 3:56.24 and was second in their heat
